3D printing is a great tool when it comes to machine designs.  The engineers may need to print and test multiple versions of a single part to quickly optimize designs. In addition to this, 3D printing gives greater design freedom to materialize complex parts and consolidate large assemblies to a single or fewer parts without the need for custom tooling. Now manufacturers don’t need to maintain a huge inventory of parts as they can opt for on-demand production of parts.
