Job Description

As an Entry-Level Production Documentation Specialist for our Polymer Additive Manufacturing (AM) service provider, you will be responsible for meticulously documenting and recording all aspects of the production process. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to maintain accurate records. The documentation you produce will be critical for quality assurance, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within the additive manufacturing workflow.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Documentation Creation:
   – Create and maintain detailed documentation for each phase of the polymer additive manufacturing process, from raw material intake to final product delivery.
   – Develop standardized templates for recording key production parameters, machine settings, and quality control checkpoints.

2. Record Keeping:
   – Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, including batch records, machine logs, and quality inspection reports.
   – Organize and archive documentation for easy retrieval and reference.

3. Collaboration with Production Teams:
   – Work closely with production operators, technicians, and engineers to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
   – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document process changes and improvements.

4. Quality Control Documentation:
   – Document quality control procedures and record quality metrics to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
   – Assist in the preparation of documentation for quality audits.

5. Process Improvement Support:
   – Support process improvement initiatives by documenting feedback, identifying areas for enhancement, and assisting in the implementation of changes.

6. Training Materials:
   – Contribute to the development of training materials by documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
   – Assist in training new personnel on proper documentation practices.

7. Data Entry and Analysis:
   – Enter production data into databases and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
   – Generate reports summarizing key production metrics and trends.

8. Adherence to Compliance Standards:
   – Ensure that all production documentation complies with industry regulations, company policies, and quality management system standards.

 

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
– Strong organizational and documentation skills with a keen eye for detail.
– Familiarity with manufacturing processes and documentation best practices.
– Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
– Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
– Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
