Objectify Technologies Partners with Team Srijan to Power Next-Generation Formula SAE Innovation
Greater Noida, India — Objectify Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of industrial additive manufacturing and 3D printing services, today announced an in-kind manufacturing sponsorship of Team Srijan, the Formula SAE and SUPRA SAE racing program from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Under the partnership, Objectify will provide Team Srijan with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printing services to support the design, prototyping, and production of critical components for the team’s competition vehicles.
Established in 2007, Team Srijan is a 40-member student engineering organization and one of India’s most established collegiate motorsport programs, with a decade-long track record on the international FSAE and SUPRA SAE circuits. The team’s current build is a Combustion Category prototype powered by a Honda CBR250R engine, a project that has demanded a reimagined approach to intake design and powertrain packaging.
A Proven Track Record
The partnership builds on work Objectify has already delivered for the team. When Team Srijan needed to replace a failure-prone, manually fabricated composite intake manifold with a single, leak-proof, track-ready component, Objectify recommended moving to SLS 3D printing in Nylon PA12. The resulting part consolidated the restrictor, sensor bosses, and throttle-body flange into one monolithic structure — eliminating the aluminum flanges and epoxy bonding that had caused reliability issues in earlier designs.
The results:
- 50%+ weight reduction versus the legacy composite assembly
- 600g final component weight
- 3 weeks of manufacturing time saved
- Zero vacuum leaks, with the part performing exactly as predicted in engine simulations on the first print
“By delivering a flawless, end-use PA12 component in a matter of days, Objectify completely transformed our development cycle. Eliminating the error-prone composite layup allowed us to save three vital weeks and transition immediately to dyno-tuning. They provided a single-iteration success that proved fundamental to our reliability and dynamic event performance at SUPRA SAE,” said the Powertrain Lead, Team Srijan.
Looking Ahead
With the sponsorship now formalized, Objectify will continue supporting Team Srijan’s engineering pipeline, giving the team’s engineers the freedom to design for aerodynamic and packaging performance first, without being constrained by traditional manufacturing limitations.
“Team Srijan’s intake manifold project is a perfect example of what’s possible when design teams stop compromising for manufacturing constraints. We’re proud to extend our support and give their engineers a manufacturing partner that can keep pace with their ambitions on the track,” said Mr. Ankit Sahu, Co-founder & Director, Objectify Technologies.
