Objectify Technologies Launches Objectify Wingspan to Build Competition Aircraft for India’s Student UAV Teams

Selected collegiate teams receive fully sponsored access to industrial metal and polymer additive manufacturing, SLA, vacuum casting and CNC machining

Greater Noida, 23 Sept, 2026. Objectify Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is an AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001:2015 certified additive manufacturing company. Today it launched Objectify Wingspan, a manufacturing sponsorship programme for Indian collegiate teams designing unmanned aerial vehicles for national and international competitions. Teams selected for Wingspan will have their competition aircraft components manufactured by Objectify at no cost, using the same production systems and quality processes the company applies to aerospace and defence hardware.

Indian student teams have become consistent contenders in unmanned aircraft competitions. This year, Indian colleges reached the podium at SAE Aero Design in the United States and flew autonomous missions at the Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) competition alongside leading international universities. At home, events such as SAEINDIA AeroTHON continue to expand the country’s base of student UAV engineers. Access to manufacturing often limits what these teams can build. Competition aircraft need light, stiff, precisely made parts, and teams frequently have to redesign and remake them within weeks of a fly-off.

Wingspan addresses that constraint across five manufacturing processes. Laser Powder Bed Fusion produces high-load metal components in Ti6Al4V, AlSi10Mg and other aerospace alloys on EOS M290 and M400-4 systems, including landing gear fittings, motor mounts, wing-root hardpoints and payload release mechanisms. Selective Laser Sintering in PA12 on EOS P396 and P110 systems produces lightweight airframe joints, bulkheads, ducts, gimbal housings and electronics bays. SLA delivers high-resolution fairings and fit-check prototypes. Vacuum casting supplies matched sets of polyurethane parts for teams running multiple airframes or carrying spares. CNC machining covers tight-tolerance interfaces and the post-machining of printed metal parts.

Design ownership remains with each team. Before production, Objectify’s engineers will review every submitted file for build feasibility, and build slots will be scheduled around each team’s competition milestones.

“Indian students are already proving they can design unmanned aircraft that compete with the best in the world,” said Ankit Sahu, CEO & Founder, Objectify Technologies. “We manufacture UAV hardware for India’s aerospace and defence sector every day. Wingspan puts that capability behind the student engineers who will design the country’s next generation of unmanned systems, so a strong design is never held back by what a team can get made.”

Objectify Wingspan is open to student teams at Indian colleges and universities building fixed-wing, multirotor, VTOL or hybrid UAVs for events including SAE Aero Design, SUAS, the IMechE UAS Challenge and SAEINDIA AeroTHON. Each team must have a faculty advisor. Applications open 23 Sept 2026 and close 31 Dec 2026. Teams can apply by emailing marketing@objectify.co.in with their aircraft concept, target competition and the components they need manufactured.
