Performance Through Precision: Team Srijan x Objectify

How Team Srijan partnered with Objectify to replace error-prone composite manifolds with SLS 3D-printed Nylon PA12 — cutting weight by over 50%, saving three weeks of manufacturing time, and eliminating vacuum leaks entirely for the SUPRA SAE circuit.

The Problem

Team Srijan's composite intake manifold used epoxy-bonded aluminum flanges that cracked under thermal expansion, causing vacuum leaks and unreliable engine tuning — while also being too bulky to fit the tight chassis envelope.

The Solution

Objectify 3D printed the manifold as a single monolithic part in SLS Nylon PA12, eliminating the flanges and epoxy bonds while consolidating sensor mounts and the throttle body flange into one piece — delivered in 3-5 days.

“By delivering a flawless, end-use PA12 component in a matter of days, Objectify completely transformed our development cycle. Eliminating the error-prone composite layup allowed us to save three vital weeks and transition immediately to dyno-tuning. They provided a single-iteration success that proved fundamental to our reliability and dynamic event performance at SUPRA SAE.”
